There's been much discussion on the status, potential life, and expectations for Vegas 2. I'm here now to hopefully clear up some information, and solve some problems.
Resistance, and Call of Duty are two games that we should look to in order to see what keeps a game alive. Yes, they were both great games, two of the best some may add, but I don't think thats all that has done it. The thing that keeps most of us coming back to any game, no matter what it may be, is the matter of who is playing it. If people don't play the game, then we are likely to go to a game where the rest of the family IS playing at. So, it seems like the most important factor, second only to the pure degree of enjoyment the game can offer, is the question of whether people play the game or not.
Resistance and Call of Duty each have their devoted players. These people are the ones who keep the game going. Their act of being devoted to the games, and playing regardless of who else is on, is what brings the rest of us on as well. We see this person on, join them, and this brings others to follow suit until we have full lobbies of members of Black Label. If we ever expect to see a game last, we need to have someone on so we can party with our friends at our whims and desires.
After speaking with Canon and some others it seems like a good solution to keeping Vegas 2 alive, is to begin to recruit some users who seem that they will be devoted to Vegas just as some of our members are so devoted to Resistance and Call of Duty alike.
This thread should be used to point out members who seem to follow similar forms of gameplay that we do. We want someone who is fun, and relaxed yet serious and capable. With the entire Vegas 2 team looking for some good, fun, solid players, we can find one or two guys that who will hold this role and bring more stable gameplay to this game.
I have an idea for an official recruiter that I will announce after I speak with him. This person will look for randoms who meet our expectations and will get them into games with us until we decide as a team if they are Black Label material or not.
These are my theories on the game so far, and I would like to hear some serious feed back from others. Suggestions on what to do, good players that are out there, or comments on this idea in particualar would help out a lot.
Thanks for reading this long post, and hope to see you all at practice this Tuesday if you can manage to put GTA IV down for an hour or two _________________ for best results: call me 2much
