Metal Gear online, at first was not all that impressive to me. It lacked in customization and the game just felt very. Meh.
I've just became a Gold Cross in COD4, and wanted to start playing a new game to test my skills. I decided to give MGO another chance and to my surprise, the game is very different from when it first came out.
Customization is available, even without the latest map pack (you would buy the latest map pack and have access to "Survivor mode", which is a weekend event that earns you points for the reward shop where you customize your character"). You receive free points for your character randomly all the time for those who decided not to buy the map pack. New modes are available and the game is just pure fun for me now. I really like it now.
So here's what sucks. The game is finally on it's feet. A good third person shooting game for us to play. But guess what's around the corner?!
Fucken Socom yo!
The grand daddy of online gaming on the PS. Of course I want this game lol hell yeah I never got to play the original Socoms online because I could not afford good internet when I was younger. But now that I can play online, I want to experience the greatness that is Socom online. I just think it sucks for MGO that a good amount of it's players will change to Socom, and while MGO does have a nice amount of players on it, seeing the community get separated for another game which is basically "better" is just a bit much for me as a gamer. (both games play alike. Third person strategy shooters.)
I don't know why I posted this. But goddammit Socom is going to own lol. _________________
