Hot on the tail of news that Grand Theft Auto 4 just became the bestselling entertainment launch of all time, ever, beating out Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, competing publisher Activision has stepped up and announced that they’ll be launching Call of Duty 5 in fall of this year.
Aaand no one heard them because they were too busy killing Albanian loan sharks and chasing hookers through Liberty City. But, once people get bored of GTA4 (read: never), I’m sure they’ll be itching for some good old fashioned FPS action.
And those who don’t own an XBOX or a PS3 won’t be left hanging because it’ll be coming out for PC, Wii, PS2 and DS also. (But COD3 pretty much sucked for the Wii, so I don’t know if that’s really good news).
Activision’s CEO has also said that it’ll be set in a “new military theatre.” A more urban setting reminiscent of a large northeastern metropolis, perhaps?

Did you even bother to look at the picture from that post...
While I do believe they will make a part 5, I doubt it will be released anytime soon COD4 is still fresh. |

why not release cod5 while 4 is still fresh . the developers have got to make money some how rfoms developers could have rode its coat tails even longer but they did not so why should cod be any different ,i say the sooner the better

cus cod4 kinda floped when other shooters came out, they'll try to prevent that by making cod5 a more quality game

Abit early for CoD5 in my opinion and either way I don't think Infinityward will be participating in this and they make the game awesome =/ so even if it is true I don't think I'll be buying it.. CoD4 is fine atm and alot of fun.. could use a longer story but great none the less. Plus we also have MGS4 and MGO coming out in like 10 days so that is gunna have me by the balls for like.. ever...
